PADI Tec 50
The PADI Tec 50 course is the final level of recreational technical diving courses, allowing you to reach new depths and consolidate your technical diving experience. This program is designed for divers who have already completed the Tec 45 course and wish to continue challenging their skills, allowing them to perform dives up to 50 meters deep with multiple decompression gases. In the Tec 50, you will learn to plan longer and deeper dives, with more advanced procedures that will prepare you for more complex challenges in the world of technical diving.
To enroll in the Tec 50 course, you must meet these requirements: PADI Tec 45 Diver, PADI Rescue Diver*, Minimum of 100 logged dives or 75 hours
18 years old
* If you meet the certification requirements, provide proof of CPR/First Aid training within the previous two years.
You also need to have a Diver Medical Form signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
Please note that qualifying certifications from another dive training organization may apply – ask your PADI Tec 50 Instructor.

- Planning and execution of dives to a maximum depth of 50 meters , using multiple decompression gas mixtures.
- Use of decompression tanks with oxygen and other gases to optimize ascent times and safety.
- Advanced gas management , considering both main gas and decompression gases.

- Application of advanced decompression techniques, risk management and stress management in deep diving.
This course includes a total of 3 knowledge development sections, 4 practical application sessions and 4 training dives.

The diving equipment you are going to use
In the PADI Tec 50 course , you will learn to handle advanced technical equipment that includes:
- Multiple tanks , including sidemount or back mounted tanks, with redundant regulators.
- Decompression tanks with gas mixtures such as nitrox and pure oxygen to optimize ascent times.
